On May 5th, the Woodbridge Church held it’s annual cooking class. The cooking class was arranged by Gloria Ferguson (Mama G), Director of Hospitality and Food Services. Mama G and her band of volunteers prepared a mouth watering sample of what talented vegetarian cooks can do. We’re not talking about your boring lettuce and carrots here. We’re talking about food so delicious and aromatic that one spoonful was enough to ignite a flavour explosion in your mouth.
I certainly learned that being vegetarian is much more then rice cakes. The variety was unbelievable. As I looked around the room I could see the anticipation on the guests faces. Everyone was eager for the food tasting portion of the day.
You would think that food this great would be difficult to prepare. But the demonstrations showed this to not be the case. The dishes were designed to be easy and quick to prepare. Try out one of the recipes for yourself.
If you missed out on this years cooking class. Don’t let it happen again. Sign up for our news letter to get notified when the next cooking class will be.
Hope to see you there!
